From Verona to “Hullabaloo at the lake”

You got to be absolutely crazy to drive 2000 km on a freshly made Kustom, I mean... literally, we should have left Verona on Thursday at 4pm and at that time we were changing the carb to the Westergard style 1941 Ford that actually was "finished" the night before, and yes...a hair rubber band as a spring back for the gas pedal and some other things...and at 5.30pm we were of!

First stop Brescia ( first real test on the highway...) where we join Beppe and his 1931 5W Coupe, all good to hit the road and ready to make the first 200km from Sbarbari Klan House in Brescia to Lorenzo's house in Lugano Switzerland, done!

Friday morning we got up early, little check out on fluid levels, and as the great Willie Nelson says we were "On the road again", ready to hit the next 600km trip, crossing Switzerland up to the north, till we get to Malling France, just near the border of Luxembourg to enjoy the second edition of Hullabaloo at the lake, a Hot Rod and Kustom show put together by the R.M.F. Car Club. Of course we arrive with no problems and as soon as we park the cars we hang out with the Italians friends of ‘50 Brothers C.C. and all the guys who came for a well deserved "aperitivo".

The rest of the weekend was a blast, great music, incredible quality Hot Rods and Kustoms, and most of all, great vibe among all the guys.

The trip back was almost with no issue, except for an air line of the 41 that needed a little care once in a while. We manage to come back home with plenty of great memories and most of all, proving that we are indeed crazy, by traveling through Europe with this traditional Hot Rods and Kustoms, and I mean crazy in terms of what modern society believe, but in our terms, we are just the luckiest and happiest guys in the world.
